Rockwall Police Department - Community Services


The Rockwall Police Department is excited to announce our 2024 Annual Police Summer Safety Camp. The police department will host this year’s Police Summer Safety Camp for incoming 4th, 5th and 6th graders that attend school in the Rockwall Independent School District. Each student must register using the online camp registration form. The Police Summer Safety Camp will be held on the campus of Reinhardt Elementary School, which is located at 615 Highland Drive Rockwall, Texas 75087. The camp will be taught by members of the Rockwall Police Department, and each Safety Cadet will have the opportunity to learn about the law enforcement profession. Safety Cadets will have the opportunity to hear from members of the police department’s SWAT Team and tour the Rockwall Police Department’s armored, emergency SWAT vehicle. Safety Cadets will also participate in physical sports activities in the school gym. Please make sure your child dresses appropriately for moderate physical activity each day, including closed-toe shoes. The summer camp includes daily physical activity, so attendees should be fit and healthy enough to participate. Attendees should wear clothing suitable for physical activity, including an obstacle course. Attendees who display discipline issues will be expelled from the camp and not allowed to continue to participate. CAMP IS RESTRICTED TO ROCKWALL ISD STUDENTS ONLY. Camp will be held at Reinhardt Elementary School, which is located at 615 Highland Drive Rockwall, Texas 75087 CODE OF CONDUCT Students will be expected to maintain a mature and respectful attitude towards classmates, speakers, and instructors. Students will adhere to a strict “NO TOUCH” policy. Students are expected to maintain their personal property and should limit what they bring to class, (lunch, snacks, water bottle.) Cell phones are permitted but must be silenced and put away during sessions. Students are expected to participate in ALL class activities (unless prior approval has been obtained). Students must stay with classmates and instructors at all times. Violations of the rules may result in removal from the academy for the day or the remainder of the week at the discretion of the RPD Instructors. Students will wear workout shoes. STUDENTS CAN SIGN UP FOR ONE SLOT FOR THE SUMMER. STUDENTS MAY NOT SWITCH WEEKS OR SESSIONS AFTER INITIAL SIGNUP.
